Dr. Alex Andujar-Alejandro is a Family Medicine physician with over 10 years of experience specializing in his field. Dr. Andujar-Alejandro graduated from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine with his Doctoral degree and completed his residency at Family Medicine Program of Ponce School of Medicine. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Heart Association, and the Colegio Médicos Cirujanos de PR. He speaks English and Spanish.
In his role as physician, Dr. Andujar-Alejandro believes that the comprehensive senior-centered healthcare model at FPG allows him to coordinate and educate his senior patient about their conditions, treatment options and prognosis. He values the opportunity to be able to take his time to listen to his patients and get to know more about them as well as their health history. Dr. Andujar-Alejandro also emphasizes the importance of properly informing his patients about their health conditions and teaching them about adopting healthy habits that can help extend and improve their quality of life. He defines the right patient-physician relationship as one that is founded on mutual honesty and communication, because it helps his patients feel comfortable to come to him with any concerns allowing him to better support them with an individualized care plan.
When he’s not at the office, Dr. Andujar-Alejandro enjoys spending time watching Netflix.
