Dr. Zuniga has 18 years of experience as a physician, she has mostly worked with geriatric populations, recently moved to Florida, and loves the fact that FPG provides personalized primary care for seniors. She believes that the senior-centered healthcare model is the most effective in identifying patients’ needs, being able to provide effective resources that will improve seniors’ health and overall quality of life.
What Dr. Zuniga enjoys the most about being a physician for seniors is listening to their stories and gaining their trust. According to her, trust is the foundation for a strong and successful doctor-patient relationship. She enjoys sharing her knowledge, and loves seeing her patients’ smiles after every encounter. Her “golden rule” for care is treating people as she would like to be treated, adding, “you have to respect them, make time for their concerns, and be consistent with your treatment and recommendations.”
In her time off, Dr. Zuniga enjoys travelling and all outdoor activities like biking and hiking. She loves spending time with her husband, two boys, and her cat.
